The Interview

JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: Not really… I always stuck to Jacquelyn growing up because there were so many Jackies.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: Yes I am Polish, German, and Irish.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: I started to think about modeling after I was approached at a café I used to work at in high school. I took off from school one day and came into the city with my mom. We decided to drop some pictures off, which is when I was offered a contract with Ford. I thought I knew about fashion before I started modeling but I was wrong. I was introduced to this whole other world I never even knew existed.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: The development process took time… I was still in high school so I couldn’t make it to the city that often. My school was very strict with absences and I also played soccer for my school team so I sometimes would only come in once a month. It was frustrating feeling like I was missing out on certain jobs and not being able to participate in fashion week. I would look at the pictures on style.com from the runway shows and wanted to be apart of it so badly.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: Yes it was definitely worth it. I knew when I graduated high school I was finally ready.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: Haha barely. I was happy that I had people from my mother agency (Ford NY) there with me. Whenever I didn’t have a late night casting or fitting, I loved grabbing dinner with them and the other models. It was relaxing and a nice way to end my crazy day.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: Thank you! At the end of New York fashion week I started to hear about some options but I just hoped my success from New York would continue to Europe!
PONY RYDER: When you are packing for Europe to do the shows, what do you pack? What are you essentials?
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: I am a horrible packer haha. I have the problem of packing too much. Some essentials I have though are black skinny jeans, a blazer, my leather jacket, heels, and a pair of comfortable flats for running around from shows and castings.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: I thought the collection was very cool and I could picture myself wearing the clothes at home, on the beach at the Jersey Shore.
PONY RYDER: Did you meet Erin?
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: Yes I did meet her and she is such a cool person! She is so laid back and she opened my eyes to other possibilities in the industry. Her show was definitely one of my favorites and the live band on the runway was awesome!
PONY RYDER: What did you think of the show finale?
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: The finale was awesome too! I loved how we all walked out together in a group in those amazing corsets and walked right off the runway. It was so cool and there was so much energy! Definitely one of my favorite shows as well!
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: Hmm that’s hard… probably my Givenchy goodie bag. I got such a cool shirt! But my favorite trade was definitely Balenciaga!

JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: The first time I went to Europe I went to Paris and I loved it! It was so different than New York. I loved how there were so many cute cafes with people sitting outside in the streets. The city was also so clean and I loved the architecture on all the buildings. The only thing I had a problem with was learning how to get around. In New York, the streets are all numbers and are like a box for the most part. In Paris, the streets are all windy and have different names so it took some getting used to.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: I actually stayed in a hotel this fashion week. The first time I came to Paris though, not during fashion week, I did stay in a models apartment. There were only two other girls there so I didn’t mind it that much but I did have some instances you hear about with other models stealing your food and stuff like that haha.

JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: I loved working with Sebastian Kim! He is so nice and I actually did one of my first jobs with him for Teen Vogue so it was cool to work with him again.
PONY RYDER: Was the shooting long, were you nervous, …?
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: The shooting was not very long and I was a little nervous at first but once I started shooting, all the nerves went away. I also love all the people at Calvin Klein and really enjoy working with them.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: Yes I am happy with how the cover came out. The makeup artist decided to put basically no make up on me so it is very natural.

JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: I wash my face every morning and night and I really like this L’Oreal moisturizer I’ve been using.
PONY RYDER: The best advice that make up artist gave you is…
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: Drink lots of water and get enough sleep!
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: I don’t really wear much makeup but when I do I always wear mascara. Inside my make up bag I have Chanel mascara, Nars eyeshadow, Hoola by Benefit blush, Revlon concealer, Rosebud lip balm.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: I just recently started using this Chanel makeup remover I got as a gift from the show. I love how it’s so light and doesn’t irritate my skin.
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: Whatever is in my shower haha. I don’t really use one brand.
PONY RYDER: How often do you go to the gym?
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: I don’t really have the same breakfast every morning. If I have cereal, I like Honey Bunches of Oats. If I have yogurt, I’ll have greek yogurt with granola. Other times I will just make myself eggs.
PONY RYDER: Which brand of cookies is your favorite?
JACQUELYN JABLONSKI: I’m more of a chocolate fan. My weakness right now is chocolate covered raisins and anything with peanut butter 🙂
